Not Weird, Queer is a radio program that focuses on the music of LGBTQ artists. It first went on the air  July 11, 2014 on KPQR Portland, 99.1 FM. As a weekly 2 hour program.

In 2016 it moved to the internet and went into syndication.

In February  2018 in moved to the newly formed internet radio station QLRadio now AltQRadio.

In February 2019 it went on hiatus.

In May 2021 it returned to the air on AltQRadio as a monthly hour program. It now primarily focuses on newer music.

The name is a play on the Portland, OR slogan Keep Portland Weird.

NWQ is a strong supporter of new independent LGBTQ artists and pledges that if you send it to us, we will play it.
